About Sacramento Valley N-trak

SVN was formed in 2005 under the name Capitol City N-trak, however Capitol City turned out to be to generic. CCN/SVN was formed  with the desired to be an ALL DCC club and soon thereafter adopted N-trak’s Power Pole Recommended Wiring Practices released that same year.

We have also created a unique light weight module with attached folding legs that can include a precision module to module alignment system allowing members to own expansive sets with less set-up time than an member's traditional 1, 2, or 3 N-Trak modules.

Our club is a loose knit organization with the main goal being to have fun! After all, isn't that what a hobby is all about?

The club is structured as follows;

  • No formal officers, the members make all decisions as a group

  • Meet once a month (or as needed) at a members house to either work on modules/layouts, hold a mini-clinic or just socialize and talk trains

  • No dues! (We may eventually institute a small, one time membership fee so the club can purchase a DCC system)

  • Build a module or 2 or 3 (or don't and just come to public and/or private shows and run trains).

  • No mandatory rules, attendance or anything

  • Above all else, have fun!

Come have some fun!
